You may have noticed that the requirements for the WhosOffice app have changed to iOS 13.0 or later. At the start of the year, Apple released new guidelines for all of the applications that are available on the App Store. The specifications state that as of 30th June 2020, all applications submitted or updated to the App Store must be running on iOS 13 or above. Therefore we had to update the application to reflect this.

The statement reads "iOS 13 is now running on 77% of all iOS devices introduced in the last four years, worldwide. Deliver great user experiences by seamlessly integrating with Dark Mode, Sign in with Apple, and the latest advances in ARKit 3, Core ML 3, and Siri. Starting April 30, 2020, all iPhone apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 13 SDK or later." For more information go to https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=03042020b

This was then extended to 30th June 2020 to allow developers extra time. For more information go to https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=03262020b

What does this mean?

Any users with an iPhone 6s or newer who have updated their device to iOS 13 or above will be able to continue to update their applications as normal. For those of you who own one of these devices and hasn’t yet upgraded to iOS 13, you will be required to do so in order to ensure all apps are kept up to date.

What if I have an iPhone 6 or older?

If you have already downloaded our app, this will continue to function for the time being but unfortunately this means that we will no longer be able to support versions of iOS 12 or lower and for those of you who are new to the system, the app will unfortunately not be available to download for those running iOS 12 or lower.

Ensuring that the application is running on the latest version of iOS allows our developers to explore new and exciting features that will help to enhance the user experience and development of the system in the future.

We appreciate your continued support.
